Wolverine

The wolverine is a member of the weasel family. They do not have the speed or the power to be true predators, so they are usually scavengers. They use ferocity, for which they are infamous, to entice a wolf pack or a brown bear to share. If a wolverine must hunt, the only things it can kill are small creatures or those that are sick or injured. One male wolverine needs 400 square miles of territory, but a female can survive within smaller territory, generally 100 square miles. Wolverines are constantly on the move. They are currently vulnerable because of the declining space available to them in Alaska. In the rest of the United States and Canada, they are endangered.
