Most festival-goers fly into Juneau then on to Haines via the Alaska Marine Highway System or fly in with Alaska Seaplanes. Haines is also accessible by road from Whitehorse, Yukon Territory- roads are often icy and impassable this time of year.
There are several hotels in Haines- you can find a list here. Most hotels in Haines are within walking distance of everything you should need during your stay. The ABEF provides a shuttle out to the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve every day.
Restaurants are limited at this time of year, but there are usually between two and three that are open. During this week, there are also community dinners which we encourage guests to attend.
