The 24th Annual Alaska Bald Eagle Festival is November 7-10, 2018

Below you will find the festival activities schedule. Unless stated otherwise, all events will take place at the American Bald Eagle Foundation. Subject to change, so stayed tuned for updates.

Daily onsite programs include:

11:00 Trainer Chat – meet an avian ambassador and learn about them and training here at the ABEF

12:00 Natural History Talk – learn about the ecosystems of the Chilkat Valley

1:00 Bald Eagle Talk – learn all about our national bird in the company of two bald eagles

Festival Schedule:

Wednesday, November 7th

  • Dinner available at Haines Borough Public School at 5:00pm
  • Art Bazaar at 6:00pm
  • Cultural evening at 7:30pm

Thursday, November 8th

  • Keynote speaker, Jason Beale of Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center, at 6:00pm
  • BirdTalk at 7:00pm – poetry readings, music, and stories

Friday, November 9th

  • Takshanuk Film Festival and Dinner at 6:00pm

Saturday, November 10th

  • Flight for Freedom eagle release and auction at the Jilkaat Kwaan Heritage Center at 1:00pm
  • Alaska Bald Eagle Festival Banquet at 6:00pm
