The 23rd Annual Alaska Bald Eagle Festival is November 6-11, 2017
Below you will find the festival activities schedule. Unless stated otherwise, all events will take place at the American Bald Eagle Foundation. Subject to change, so stayed tuned for updates.
There are a few changes to this year’s Alaska Bald Eagle Festival schedule. The eagle release will be held outside the Jilkaat Kwaan Heritage Center not 19 mile. Two eagle auctions will be held. One will be during the Takshanuk Film Festival at Harriett Hall on Friday evening. The other will take place at the Heritage Center, Saturday at 1:30 p.m. See the full schedule below.
Vans to the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve will leave from and return to the American Bald Eagle Foundation parking lot.
Daily onsite programs include:
11:00 Natural History Talk – learn about the ecosystems of the Chilkat Valley
12:00 Aviary Tour – meet the ABEF avian team, limited to 15, $5 additional admission
1:00 Bald Eagle Talk – learn all about our national bird in the company of two bald eagles
