If you live in the Haines, either year round or seasonally, the ABEF is always looking for volunteers to help out around the Foundation.
Because we are such a unique facility, we offer a variety of volunteer experiences for interested individuals. Some volunteers enjoy greeting guests, some help our museum coordinator organize specimens, while others help us clean aviaries and prepare raptor meals. We try to place our volunteers with a job they would enjoy. It’s important to note that some aspects of volunteering at the ABEF require more commitment than others (such as animal care).
Volunteers can work in the natural history museum, in the gift shop/office or they can help with animal husbandry and maintenance. The tasks within these opportunities varies greatly so we’ve complied a volunteer information packet which you can find here.AMERICAN BALD EAGLE FOUNDATION VOLUNTEER INFORMATION PACKET
If after reading through the volunteer information packet you decide you are interested in volunteering at the American Bald Eagle Foundation, please fill out an application and turn it in to our education & outreach coordinator at programs(at)baldeagles(dot)org
