Shannon Miller’s journey across the world eventually brought him to Haines, Alaska, where he joined the American Bald Eagle Foundation as Lead Keeper and Facilities Manager in 2026. As a local raft guide, Shannon has observed wild bald eagles along the rivers of the Chilkat Valley. While on the river, he enjoys educating visitors about the region’s natural geography and wildlife. His passion for education is a common thread that ties all of his interests together. A published author, Shannon not only enjoys teaching tabletop games, but also creating them. He is currently working on his next book.
